afar

A bouncing castle had made its way onto someone’s garage roof. It was devoid of bouncers but still stood tall. I viewed it from afar, from high upon a hill.

‘That’s a nice bouncing castle,’ I said to Milld.

Milld laughed.

‘That’s not a bouncing castle.'

‘Of course it is’

‘Of course it ain’t,’ said Milld. ‘It’s on a garage roof. I ain’t never seen a bouncing castle on a garage roof and neither have you.’

He was right. I began to view it in a different way.
